The South China Public Library, established in 1830, is the oldest continuously operating library in the State of Maine. The library is located in the village of South China, near the shore of China Lake.
The Library is a volunteer organization and offers regular hours, volunteer opportunities, children’s programs, a book club, large print book collection, audiobooks on tape and CD, one public computer with internet access, and free wireless internet access for laptop users.
